Dog Training in Hardin Valley: E-Collar Training and Obedience for Large-Breed Dogs

Training for Hardin Valley dogs

Hardin Valley is a Knox County community along Hardin Valley Road and Pellissippi Parkway on the west side of Knoxville. Owners here often come to us when they want a dog under control around the house, on walks and around other people.

E-collar training is a common request in Hardin Valley

One example is a mastiff named RZA, whose owners came to K9SU specifically for e-collar training. When it is done correctly, e-collar training gives a large, strong dog a clear, consistent way to learn to listen at a distance and around distractions. You can read more on our e-collar training page.

• RZA, mastiff: RZA's owners wanted e-collar training.

Large and giant breeds need clear rules early, because a dog that weighs more than the person holding the leash cannot be managed by strength. See our obedience training for how we build that control.

K9 Services Unlimited is based in Loudon, TN and serves Knoxville and the surrounding towns. Training typically starts at your home and moves to nearby public places once your dog is ready. Anyone considering board and train is welcome to come meet us first, since we train out of our homes rather than a facility.
